Canadia Bank has been made aware that a scam is being perpetrated involving false promotions to win sums of money. Canadia Bank is informing all of our customers and the community to be careful and exercise caution for any such claims that involve cash or prize winnings in exchange for providing certain information.

 

The scam is played out when the scammer tries to trick the victim to sms a top up pass code or transfer an amount of money to a designated phone number in return for the chance to win a sum of money. The scammer first uses the top up pass code, and if the pass code is valid or the money is received, will then call the victim again instructing them to pick up the winnings at a bank.

 

We would like to inform all of our customers that Canadia Bank never has and never will make unsolicited phone calls and promise prizes in exchange for information. We urge our customers and the community to disregard and ignore such phone calls and claims.
